Santa Was Good To Her

What a great Christmas! I’d say this was one of my most favorite Christmases. We had a blast with our families. Thanks to everyone for the great gifts and delicious food!

One of Veronica’s favorite things that she got was a gorgeous apron and kitchen tools which she immediately used to brush dad’s hair:

She loves flashlights! (good thing, cause now she has three of them)

Mommy made the mistake of putting clothes inside of the present instead of a toy:

I think she ate more chocolate this holiday than she has in her entire 2 years.

A Christmas PlayDate

Got to see some out of town friends this weekend and Veronica got to meet Milo, an awesome 2.5 year old who says things like “maybe it’s a combine harvester” and specifically requests to watch Johnny Cash sing “I Walk the Line” on his mom’s iphone.

We tried SO hard to get a picture of the kids together, but it just was not meant to be. This was seriously the best picture I got. That little boy on the right? Yeah, that’s my kid. She spilled water all over her so she got to wear Sawyer’s old clothes and run around like a tomboy all day.

It was a good thing she was a tomboy that day because there was lots of wrestling going on and she made sure to get in on it:

Then the band got back together (it was decided after the rehearsal that a reunion might not be in the musical world’s best interest):

It was a good day of playing and it conked her out on the way home. You know she’s really out when the binky slips out of her mouth and she doesn’t immediately protest!

That’s What Friends Are For

We’re going to need a heart to heart with Veronica to explain that being friends with someone doesn’t mean you have the liberty to use their head as a chair.

The Last 2 Molars

She chooses today of all days to have her molars start coming in. The day her Uncle Matt is coming into town to see how cute and bubbly and chipper she is.  Well that is not the child he is going to see when he arrives.  You know the saying “if mama ain’t happy, ain’t nobody happy”?

Well, if baby ain’t happy, ain’t nobody happy either.

Hangin’ With The Cool Kids

Veronica is so mature she rolls her eyes when she has to hang out with babies. She likes to run with an older crowd.

Naughty or Nice?

She’s fully aware of the effect her scowl has. We’ve caught her practicing this face in the mirror.

Out of the Mouth of Babes

This was Veronica’s Wish List for St. Nick:

1. more binkies

2. flashlight

3. “make eggs” (get to help mom in the kitchen)

4. “chair move” (same as #3)

5. candy

6. bubbles

7. tigers & bears

8. cars

9. apples
