The Big Adventure

I’ll admit it: I was skeptical.

I was sure that as soon as she got on, she would want to get off. I knew tears would spill down her cheeks and she’d need a mommy’s arms to comfort her. We watched other kids attempt it, and they gave us hope that it could be done. And so we stepped forward with our ticket and climbed aboard, kleenex at the ready.

My daughter took her very first pony ride. And loved it.

She may have even cracked a smile.

I love seeing these “firsts” She indeed did love the pony ride. I think it helped to have mom close by.

Grandpa Dan can buy her a pony. He already promised one to Alex (albeit in some sort of whiskey-induced haze?). There’s plenty of room in Palmyra for two ponies. I’m just sure of it.

    Yes, ponies. I concur.

Let Uncle Dave husband them. And then, in the summer he can sell pony rides in Palmyra.

We let Konrad have a pony ride at the fair this year. Best $5 we spent. The smile was priceless. Glad she had fun.
