We almost made a trip to the ER today. William grabbed something he shouldn’t have–something very sharp– and faster than you can say emergency room he ran smack dab into a wall with it in his mouth.
He cried for about 3 seconds while meanwhile 4 hours later I’m still just coming out of shock.
He’s ok, just a fat lip. This kid is destined to be on a first name basis at Children’s.
Mother of the Year right here.
I shopped at Trader Joe’s yesterday and came home after work to make a quick dinner before putting the kids to bed. That’s when I noticed William was having a bit of a reaction. Nothing as bad as before, but definite redness under the eye with a rash on his face. I wasn’t worried about anything anaphylaxis-y happening, but I gave him benadryl just to be sure.
(
the above is not a picture from last night, just a picture to remind you of his utter cuteness)
Sure enough, I went and looked at the package of rolls he had taken one teeny tiny bite from, and it says right there, “manufactured on the same line as tree nuts”.
Bring on the guilt.
Moving past my inability to not poison my own child, I think this means he is probably going to test allergic to tree nuts too. UGH!
Today we did a craft that I followed by the book and it STILL didn’t work.
Only me.
We started by gluing some cotton balls on a cloud.
Oddly enough both of my children thought they were marshmallows.
Only one attempted to eat them.
The rain was supposed to look like it was dripping off the umbrella, but I overestimated her height.
Raindrops keep fallin’ on his head.
Windy day!
Today we played an educational game. Please put educational in quotes in your mind.
I called out a letter and Veronica had to park her car on the spot. She did pretty well and it motivated her to try to write her ABCs.
She did great from A to F, but G prompted a meltdown.
Meanwhile, William did his best to enhance the parking lot.
