Last night was an occasion to write down in the baby book: Veronica slept through the night without waking to eat! And it was one of my WORST NIGHTS OF SLEEP.
Between Chris waking me up to talk about board games, the baby turning on her turtle crib toy in the middle of the night, the cat begging for food, the cat begging to go outside, the cat running and jumping on our faces, and the smoke alarm going off, it was a very rough night.
Maybe after I’ve had some caffeine I will be happier about what will hopefully be the first of many nights of wonderful, continuous sleep!
since when do you let your kitty outside?
he has always been able to take outside excursions. But he’s become too good of a hunter so we’ve been keeping him inside, which is driving him (and us) crazy.
The turtle crib toy is a gift from heaven. D still wakes up during the night on occasion. He usually gets up, turns it on and then falls back asleep on his own. I may end up strapping that thing to his loft in his first dorm room, but it has been worth it.
okay, so an update please…has this sleeping-through-the-night trend continued?
She did it last night too! So it’s only been two nights and they were not in succession. The nights in between she barely ate anything, like 21 ounces through the whole day so I wasn’t comfortable with making her go without the nighttime feeding. But when she eats enough during the day then I say live with it baby. And she does!
Apologies for giving you the Toy Of Nighttime Hell. But Keara is right – once you learn to sleep through the annoyingly perky music, it’s a godsend, because VJ can use it to amuse herself, resulting in many CONSECUTIVE HOURS OF SLEEP for you! Congrats on the great sleep – enjoy it while it lasts.
